Just received a notification from sonicbids.com that another company
(Syncup) wants to work on licensing my music for ads and TV shows.
That's the 2nd in 2 weeks. Woot!

Above is the first laptop I used to make electronic music.

Also, above is the 2nd laptop I used to produce electronic music, mix video and perform live.

And also, above is the 3rd laptop I used to produce electronic music, mix video, edit & render video and perform live.

Now I use a Mac, and the the 2nd laptop is still used as back up for video mixing, but now the 1st laptop is too old, and the 3rd laptop is simply dead and beyond any repair which makes financial sense.

I missed their names (I'll update the blog posting with the names when I find out who they are - editor's note: if I read the damn poster, I'd know they're Roth Mobot...duh). They were great. Tons of home made circuit bent toys all mixed perfectly into a collage of fun sounds. Very entertaining with amazing noises. Very cool.

Received a response regarding licensing deals for my music from Human
Factor yesterday. Spent the evening going over their contract, getting
the package together and getting it out. Also spent some time updating
my BMI account with the songs to be licensed.

Hopefully something will come of this. Wouldn't mind selling a song to
the Discovery Channel or for a commercial.

Episode 23 of my electronic music podcast, Objects From The World Of Machines, is now available.

This podcast is a practice peformance I did a few weeks ago, while trying out new software on a new computer on a new OS. I was very happy with the results. This was all done in one improvised take and has a very loose, very Orb-like feel to it. It's a nice little ambient techno piece. This is very similar to what you'll hear between more traditional songs at a Velva show.
